Description:    Art 2 is the second of the basic art classes and continues to build on skills and knowledge from Art 1 as well as introduce new materials, techniques, and media.

 

Course Objectives/ Major Topics:    Student's will become more competent and capable of solving problems in the arts as well as increasing skills, mastering techniques and manipulating materials. Students will complete studio production in architectural drawing, elements, and principles of art in context, multicultural explorations an art history and appreciation.

Grading:

Course grade will be calculated as followed:

        Daily Grade:                        40%

        Completed Assignments:     50%

        Assorted written work:        10%

Per Pulaski County Board Policy all students will COMPLETE and appropriate (as designed by the instructor) portfolio entry to they fail the class. 

 

Student Conduct:

The SWHS Code of Conduct will be followed and enforced. I  encourage freethinking and viewpoints which do not  necessarily   match my own. However, Rudeness or lack of respect for other WILL NOT be tolerated. Learn an important rule:  Disagree without being Disagreeable. Please note that students are EXPECTED  to work to the  best of their abilities. Failure to complete assignments on time, incomplete assignments and absences WILL  lower the nine weeks and thus the  semester grade.
